I remember the trouble I had finding a local breeder and what's more finding a local breeder with a colour that I liked! Luckily I came across the U.K. rat kitten register and I was away.....

On this page there are links to the two U.K. kitten registers and links to U.K. Breeders, I have included as up to date information about the colours they breed at present and where they are based, But this may change, so I will try and keep and eye out and update where needed. 

Even if your not planning on getting a new baby its worth having a look at the site as they have various other features as well, they are also good places to look for examples of colours.

The U.K. online kitten register- This site is excellent for anyone looking for rat kittens, it also lists rattery web sites and breeder's email addresses.

The U.K. online Dumbo Kitten list- The site offers the same as above except the kittens available are Dumbos and Dumbo carriers.

Arrencrest Rattery- Breeds Striped roans (Banded Huskies) and has a Platinum Dumbo breeding program. They are based in Reading, Berkshire.

The rats of Alpha Centauri- Breeds Blue, Blue Agouti, Black eyed white, Silver black, Russian blue, Downunders,  Blue and Seal point Siamese in Dumbo and normal ear and Rex and straight coats. Based in Somerset.

Pendragon rattery -  Breeds Dumbos and Russian blues, based in London.

Tethys rattery - Breeds Silver fawns, Hooded, Champagnes, Downunders and Dumbos. They are based in Glastonbury Somerset.

Rattyheaven - Breeds Black eyed whites, Siamese, Striped roans (Banded Huskies) and Rexes. Based in Devon.

Magic round about ratties - Breeds Blues point and Seal point Siamese, Seal point and Blues point Himalayan and Silver black , Blue, Blue Agouti and Rex. They are based in Sunderland.

Rowangate stud and Pegasus stud- Rowangate stud breeds Blue agouti, Chinchilla and Striped roans (banded huskies) where as the Pegasus stud breeds Black eyed whites and Siamese. They are based in Essex.

Tracey Allen - Breeds Dumbos and is based in Portsmouth.

Hawthorn rattery -  Breeds Blue and Seal point Siamese, Blue, Russian Blue, Mink and Pearl. Based in Newcastle.

Blackstaff rattery - Specializes in English badgers (blazed), Himalayans plus others. Based in London.

Gill Thomas -  They are planning on breeding a variegated Blue Dumbo so related colours maybe available. Based in the Midlands.

Judith Wilson - Based in the Midlands.

Cosmic Squeak rattery - Based in Manchester.

Shunamite Rats - Are planning on breeding Blue, Blue Agouti, Blue point Siamese and these colours in Dumbo. Based in Newcastle.

This is a list of  kittens available all over the U.K. it also has rescue information and Breeder information. To obtain a copy of this send a stamped addressed envelope to: Cat Russ, 77 Sandholme road, Brislington, Bristol, BS4 3RX.

If you have not found the colour you are looking for above, it is worth looking at some of these sites anyway as they may still have that colour as it may crop up in one of there litters if their rats carry that gene. 

Also you can try emailing some of the ratteries if either the colour you want isn't available or you are having trouble finding the preferred colour and they might be able to put you in touch with another breeder or be able to give you details of up and coming litters.
